March 14, 2017 – Dodge Co., WI – On March 13, 2017 at 9:30 p.m., the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office responded to a motor vehicle versus pedestrian crash on US 151 at State Highway 33, in the Township of Beaver Dam, Dodge County, Wisconsin.
Preliminary investigation shows that Brandon B. Greatens, 19, from Beaver Dam was walking in the northbound US 151 left/inside traffic lane and was struck by a northbound 2017 Kenworth semi-tractor with box trailer operated by Steven D. Purscell, 46, from La Vista, Nebraska. There were no other vehicles or occupants involved in the crash.
The driver of the Kenworth was uninjured in the crash. Greatens was pronounced dead at the scene by the Dodge County Medical Examiner.
Assisting at the scene was: Beaver Dam Police, Beaver Dam Fire Department and Paramedics, and the Dodge County Emergency Response Team.
The crash remains under investigation by the Dodge County Crash Investigation Team.
