Trenton Walstra signs National Letter of Intent to play basketball at UW-Washington County | By John Gray

May 30, 2017 -UW-Washington County men’s basketball coach Steve Murphy is about to sign UW-WC’s first ever 1st Team All-State recruit for his 2017 team.

Just last week UW-WC had a stellar student athlete, Trenton Walstra, sign a National Letter of Intent to play for the Wildcats.

Kankakee Valley’s senior Trenton Walstra, the son of David and Jennifer Walstra, has signed a National Letter of Intent to continue his basketball career at the University of Wisconsin- Washington County.  A part of the University of Wisconsin system, Washington County is a two year campus located in West Bend Wisconsin.  Walstra, the leading scorer this past season for the Kougars will major in computer engineering and play for Head Coach Steve Murphy at Washington County.  A three year letter winner for Kankakee Valley, Walstra set the single season record this year for three point shots made.  He was one of four captains.  He averaged 10.9 points per game and was a Northwest Crossroad Conference first team All-Conference selection.  He was also named Honorable Mention All Area by The Times!
