Obit: Denise M. Stadelmayer (nee Lustig), 49

Jan. 19, 2017 – Denise M. Stadelmayer (nee Lustig) found peace on Tuesday, January 10, 2017 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

She was born on March 25, 1967 to Gerald Lustig and Sandra Schmidt (nee Anderson) in Madison WI. Denise followed her dreams and lived a very full life in her 49 years. She traveled the world with her family and friends, sought her dream job as a flight attendant, and always sought personal growth. She loved her family, especially her children and grandchildren more anything, they were the light of her life. Denise fought a very courageous battle with stage 4 colorectal cancer, persistent in her fight and creating awareness for the disease, and she wants you to get your colon checked!

Those she leaves behind to cherish her memory include her father, Gerald Lustig; her mother, Sandra Schmidt; three children, Brittany (Joshua) Petersen, Robert (Marjorie) Stadelmayer Jr., and Dylan Stadelmayer all of Salt Lake City, Utah; four grandchildren, Sawyer, Braden, Parker, and Avery Petersen; a half-sister, Stacey Cupit; a half-brother, Shane (Cheryl) Lustig; a close friend, Doug Reeves; other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her step-father, Vernon Schmidt. A memorial service in remembrance of Denise will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at 2 p.m. at the Myrhum Patten Miller & Kietzer funeral home, 1315 W. Washington St., West Bend.

The family will greet relatives and friends Saturday at the funeral home from 12 p.m. until the time of service.

In lieu of flowers, Denise would have appreciated donations to the Huntsman Cancer Institute in Salt Lake City.
