Obit: Robert “Bob” Ott, 60. Bob had a long career at the Threshold in West Bend where he served as Case Manager for persons with disabilities.

Feb. 21, 2017 – West Bend, WI – Robert “Bob” Ott, age 60, passed away on February 20, 2017 at Waukesha Memorial Hospital.  He was born on July 13, 1956 to William and Dorothy (nee Albers) Ott.

Bob held a business degree from MATC and a degree in Social Work from UW-Whitewater.  At Whitewater he helped pioneer wheelchair basketball for those with disabilities.

He had a long career at the Threshold in West Bend where he served as Case Manager for persons with disabilities.

Bob’s interests included Civil War History, sports and his great Faith in Jesus.

With remarkable strength and courage he battled many obstacles of declining health due to his paralysis, yet he was generous, kind and loving to all.

Bob is survived by his wife Patty; step-children David (Kim) Karnes, Cassandra (Brady) Butz, Amanda Luebke; 5 grandchildren and 1 one the way; mother Dorothy, sister Kathi (Jerry) Kowaleski; siblings-in-law Karen (Steve) Schreiber, Barbara Stoiber, Janet Stoiber, Matt (Jana) Stoiber; nephews Kevin (Jessica) Kowaleski, Mark (Fiancée Megan) Schrieber, Adam (Stephanie) Schreiber, Trevor; niece Kim (Jim) Schmitt, Olivia Stoiber and father-in-law Bert Stoiber.  He is further survived by other relatives and friends.  Bob is preceded in death by his father, William and mother-in-law Lois Stoiber.

A Celebration of Life will be at 12:00PM on Friday, February 24, 2017 at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel (1420 W Paradise Dr. West Bend, WI 53095).  Visitation will be from 11:00AM until the time of the service (12:00PM).  A private Inurnment will take place at Holy Angels Cemetery at a later date.
