“Reichert Seeks to Build on Positive County Reforms”

West Bend, Wisconsin: Surrounded by family, friends and several community supporters, on May 3, 2016, lifelong Washington County resident and Town of Wayne native Ashley Reichert formally declared her candidacy for Washington County Clerk on the steps of the Herb J. Tennies Government Center.

Reichert, a current employee of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, working under the direct supervision of Sheriff Dale K. Schmidt, has been involved in County-level government for the last two years and seeks to help continue the trend of positive reforms Washington County has made in recent years.

In 2015, she was named the recipient of the first ever Washington County “Core Values Award for Innovation” for her tireless efforts towards greater citizen involvement and overall government transparency.

“The taxpayers of Washington County deserve a County Clerk worthy of following in the footsteps of our current Clerk, Brenda Jaszewski,” said Reichert. “Someone who is committed to ensuring the sanctity of our precious right to vote and who can fulfill the statutory obligations this role requires. I am that person and I look forward to earning the trust of our electorate between now and this coming November.”

Reichert announced a robust plan to combine a traditional grassroots campaign utilizing scores of volunteers with a multifaceted online social media platform to help directly connect her with the very people she hopes elect her to office in November.

“While my primary focus during the summer months will be knocking on doors and meeting one on one with residents of the county,” said Reichert. “I also plan to launch an aggressive social media campaign to help better acquaint myself with residents from Richfield all the way north to my hometown of Wayne.  I’m guided by my faith and the conservative principles I was raised on, the same values and strong moral compass that I believe reflect our beautiful county.”

Ashley and her husband of 5 years, live in West Bend with their three kids, Braeden, Delaney, and Hudson. She and her husband, a Bronze Star recipient and former Army Special Operations combat veteran, are active in the Stars and Stripes Honor Flight program and attend Trinity Lutheran Church in Jackson where their children are also
