Authorities search for suspect in armed robbery of Romie’s BP in Allenton

May 3, 2018 – Allenton, WI – A suspect is still at large following an armed robbery Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at Romie’s BP in Allenton. Station owner John Breuer said a man with a gun entered the station, 523 Main Street, around 6:45 a.m.

“Nobody was hurt and nothing was damaged, guy came in and we got him out of there quickly as possible so it didn’t endanger anybody,” said Breuer. “Yes, he showed a weapon.”

The Washington County Sheriff is currently “chasing some leads” according to Breuer who felt the man “looked familiar.”

“He was covering himself,” said Breuer.

Breuer was at work when the incident happened. He said the man fled on foot. No details were provided on how much was stolen.

Washington County Sheriff Dale Schmidt confirmed Thursday morning nobody was in custody and the incident remains under investigation.
