Ten cows and one calf were killed following a barn fire Saturday night in the Town of Herman. Authorities in Dodge County received a call at 10:03 p.m. about a barn fire at the Dale Twardokous residence at N5952 Pierce Rd, Town of Herman.
When the Iron Ridge Fire Department arrived the barn was fully engulfed.
The Iron Ridge Fire Department confirmed nobody was injured however, an undetermined amount of livestock perished as a result of smoke inhalation.
The Iron Ridge FD was assisted by 10 other surrounding Fire Departments, two EMS units and the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office.
The Iron Ridge FD will be handling the origin and cause investigation.
