Bob Cross, founder of Jam for Kids Inc., has died

Oct. 18, 2017 – West Bend, WI – Bob Cross, the founder of Jam for Kids Inc. died Tuesday night. He had been battling cancer.

Bob was instrumental in starting the music fundraiser, Jam for Kids. He came up with the idea in 1974 with Mike Engeleiter and some friends. In 1975 the first concert to raise money for local Special Olympics was held at Mike’s Village Inn across from Regner Park.

The event shifted to Bob’s Starlight Inn, Our Place, Regner Park, and Jug’s Hitching Post.
