Common Sense Citizens meeting tonight, Thursday, Dec. 27, in West Bend | By Bernie Newman

Dec. 27, 2018 – West Bend, WI –   I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas. It is a busy season and people tune out politics. But Common Sense Citizens of Washington County knows it’s an important time of the year.

The paperwork needed to run for local races must to be filed in a few days. Common Sense Citizens will be meeting at the West Bend Moose Lodge, 1721 Chestnut Street, on Thursday, Dec. 27 beginning at 7 p.m.

Anyone seeking re-election, running for an office, or considering a run is encouraged to attend the meeting and introduce yourself.

No formal speakers are booked so there will be time for candidates and a chance to go over recent events happening locally.

My term as President is scheduled to lapse at the end of the year and will also be a topic along with the future vision of our group.

I am proud to announce CSC is a co-sponsor of Pete Rettler’s 25 Runs of Gratitude on Thursday, Dec. 27.

Our donation will be earmarked for the United Way of Washington County.

The run will kick off in front of Workforce Development Center at Moraine Park Technical School at 8 a.m.

Anyone wishing to represent CSC by running or just being at the send off please attend.
