St. John’s students win literary competition

ST JOHNS

Congratulations to our student authors and illustrators.

St. John’s Elementary and Middle School students participated in the Delta Kappa Gamma Mary Jo Nettesheim Literary Competition. This is a competition in which students have the opportunity to author and illustrate their own book.

Nearly 300 students, representing 7 schools in Washington County participated in this year’s event, with 138 book submitted for judging. Out of the 26 awards that were presented, St. John’s students took home 13 of those awards.

We give thanks to our Lord for the talents of our children. We also give thanks to our Lord for the teachers and parents who provided support, guidance and instruction for the students along the way.
