Fishing rivals from Kewaskum to team up in U.S. Anglers Choice Bass Tournament | By Bryan Miller

May 7, 2018 – Washington Co., WI – Two bass anglers from Washington County will compete in the U.S. Anglers Choice Bass Tournament Trail with the goal to make it to the national championship.

Bryan Miller, 28, and Logan Kertscher, 18, of Kewaskum will compete in seven tournaments running May through October.

Competing at different lakes across Southeastern Wisconsin, the top finishing teams at the end of the season will earn a berth to fish in the U.S. Anglers Choice National Championship against the best anglers in the country.

“It’s kind of unique how this all got started because Logan and I fish against each other every week in the Kettle Moraine Monday Bass League and now we’re tournament partners against the best guys in the state,” said Miller. “We have some great companies backing us this year with a few local businesses including WOO! Tungsten, Piscifun reels, Brovarney Baits, Oldenburg Metal Tech, Valley Tool and local businesses Kraemer Custom Rods, and Nuckleheadz Bar-Grill.”

“We are extremely excited for the season to kick off,” said Kertscher. “We have our eyes set on one thing and that’s make it to the national championship and represent the state of Wisconsin.”

The season kicks off May 19 on Okauchee Lake.
