Flight for Life called to Dodge Co. Accident

Dec. 2, 2017 – Dodge Co., WI – At about 7:13 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 2, 2017, the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office received 911 reports of a semi-tractor trailer colliding with a pickup truck at the intersection of STH 28/67/175 and STH 28 in the Township of Theresa.

The intersection is one mile north of the Village of Theresa.

The semi was westbound on STH 28 and the trailer was loaded with grain. It had entered the intersection to make a left turn towards Theresa.

The pickup truck was northbound on STH 28/67/175. East and westbound traffic is controlled with stop signs and north and southbound traffic is not controlled.

The driver of the semi was a 48-year-old rural Theresa man. He was treated and released from a local hospital for suspected minor injuries.

The driver of the pickup was a 56-year-old Fond du Lac man and he was flown from the scene to a trauma center with serious, but believed non-life threatening injuries.

The crash is being investigated by the Sheriff’s Office and its Crash Investigation Team (CIT). They were assisted at the scene by a Wisconsin State Patrol Trooper and Inspector.

Other agencies involved included Theresa Police Department, Theresa Fire and EMS, Mayville EMS, Flight for Life, and the Dodge County Highway Department.
