Four candidates file paperwork to fill alderman vacancy in District 4 in West Bend

May 11, 2020 – West Bend, WI – Four candidates will go through an interview process to see who will be selected to fill an alderman vacancy in District 4 in West Bend.

The four people who submitted information include former Dist. 4 alderman Randy Koehler, Michael Peterson turned in paperwork April 24, 2020.  Caleb Roth submitted a resume May 6, 2020 and Christopher Haase filed Friday, May 8 and asked the clerk to keep his information confidential.

Clerk Stephanie Justmann was checking on the validity of the request since all information submitted to City Hall is public record.

The person selected to fill the seat would serve the remainder of the two-year term expiring in April 2021.

To be eligible to serve, an individual at the time of the appointment must be:

  • A citizen of the United Sates and the state of Wisconsin;
  • An elector of the city of West Bend; and
  • A resident of District 4.

Papers to apply for the open seat were due by end of business Friday, May 8 at 4:30 p.m.  An interview timeline is expected to be posted in the coming week.
