Games officially underway in Colorado

Training day. It was tiring but warmer and the conditions were amazing. It’s very evident that people living in the Midwest or out east have an advantage over the locals or the people out west.
We are used to racing on ice while they are used to softer, more forgiving snow.
My step brother Connor Zapfel made it out to Copper Mountain this morning so he could practice boardercross, the only event he is competing in.
He even agrees the course is very hard. I got to work with a couple of coaches on the courses today. There were two Slalom courses and two GS courses set up.
Each were identical but they had their differences. I am feeling very excited in going into tomorrow.
I race Slalom on Sunday and GS on Thursday.
I can’t wait to see how it goes. After we got off the hill their was a big parade to show off each of the series competing in the event. They all ranged from east, to west, to Alaska.
It was a great experience to be presented as the Midwest best series in front of everyone and have them cheer for you.
The national anthem was sung at the end.
The games have officially started.

Lexi Bullis is at the USASA Nationals to compete in the Giant Slalom, Slalom and Boardercross events for snowboard at Copper Mountain, Colorado.
