George Roberts at Pheasants Forever Chapter 680 (Washington & Ozaukee Counties) wins Polaris Habitat Stewardship Award

March 14, 2017 – Washington Co., WI – On behalf of Polaris Industries, the staff at Cedar Creek Motorsports in Cedarburg presented the national Polaris 2016-2017 Polaris Habitat Stewardship Award to George Roberts at Pheasants Forever Chapter 680 (Washington & Ozaukee Counties) spring banquet on Saturday, March 11 at Ozaukee Pavilion. George Roberts lives in the Town of Port Washington.

Town of Port Washington resident George Roberts won the 2016/2017 Polaris Habitat Stewardship Award. The award is shown in appreciation for the on the ground work and dedicated conservationist in the community in conjunction with Pheasants Forever and Qual Forever organizations. Roberts has actively engaged in conducting wildlife habitat improvements to 452 acres of property just north of the city of Port Washington off Hwy. LL.To date he, along with volunteers have planted in excess of 70,000 trees and 60 acres of Wisconsin native prairie grasses as well as introduced 10 ponds to the space.Pheasants Forever Chapter 680, which includes Ozaukee and Washington County, nominated George for the award recognizing his involvement over the decades for invitations to youth and novice deer, turkey and waterfowl hunters for educational events to expose further generations to responsible hunting and land use practices.
