Sept. 8, 2017 – West Bend, WI – There will be a groundbreaking Sunday, Sept. 10 at 9:15 a.m. at Good Shepherd Lutheran in West Bend as the church/school prepares for a $3.2 million expansion.
The expansion will include four additional school classrooms, renovated bathrooms, a new welcome center and gathering space, an elevator, a fellowship hall, Fireside bible study room and updated heating and air conditioning.
“We have worked closely with Excel Engineering to design our new building,” said Tim Reis, building committee Phase II sooner than later.”
Designs feature more windows for added natural light, retaining the wood beams in the ceiling but opening up the space and making a cleaner, brighter look.
Parishioners and members of the community are invited to bring their shovels and spades to the groundbreaking Sunday which will be held on the lawn just east of the parking lot on Decorah Road and Indiana Avenue.
