Habitat for Humanity of Washington and Dodge Counties dedicates home

Feb. 7, 2018 – Jackson, WI – Thrivent Financial and Habitat for Humanity of Washington and Dodge Counties partnered in Jackson to build a home with a local family through the Thrivent Builds Homes program.  Thrivent members and other volunteers helped the homeowners build their new home.  To support safe, decent, and affordable housing in Washington and Dodge counties, Thrivent awarded $50,000 to support construction of a new Habitat for Humanity home.

Habitat homeowners come from a variety of backgrounds and have different stories, but they are all similar in their desire for a safe, decent place to live. Habitat for Humanity of Washington and Dodge Counties partners with families in the local community to provide a “hand-up” in regards to permanent housing solutions.  Through Thrivent Builds with Habitat for Humanity partnership, another family has built their home and a foundation for a brighter future.

The dedication ceremony will be held at N169W20183 Georgetown Dr. in Jackson on Saturday, Feb. 10, at 9 a.m., with an open house to follow until noon. Light refreshments will be served. Volunteers and the general public are all welcome to join Calvin, Kelly and Lolla Herzog, the Habitat for Humanity partner family, for this special event.
