Coming up this summer it’ll be the 23rd year West Bend will be involved in the Sister City Japanese exchange program with students from Aisho-cho, Japan.
Organizers are reaching out to see if there are any local families that would like to take part and host a student. The dates they’ll be visiting are August 3-9.
Students are 14 and 15 years old; they are visiting to experience American families and culture.
Roger and Nobie Sacia have been instrumental in organizing the schedule for 18 students and three adults.
Host families will provide activities over the weekend along with tours and demonstrations at the Boys and Girls Club, the West Bend Fire Department and Cedar Ridge.
