Leaf collection begins in West Bend

Department of Public Works crews will begin collecting leaves in West Bend on Monday, October 17, 2016.

 

Neighbors are reminded leaves are to be placed in the street gutter area for collection.  Bags of leaves will not be collected and crews will not remove leaves from the area between the sidewalks and curb.  Do not mix leaves with branches!

 

Brush Collection:  The remaining scheduled pickup dates of the year for Brush Collection are Friday, October 14, and Friday, October 28.

 

Pumpkin Collection:  DO NOT PLACE PUMPKINS IN THE GARBAGE!  Pumpkins may be placed in the street gutter area for collection along with leaves.

 

Lawn and Garden Waste:  DO NOT PLACE IN GARBAGE!  Residents who desire to bring their leaves or other organic materials to the City of West Bend Drop-off, located at 251 Municipal Drive, may do so during the following scheduled hours:

 

Before November 15:      Monday/Wednesday/Friday 7 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Tuesday/Thursday 7 a.m. – Sunset

After November 15:        Monday through Friday 7 a.m. to 2 p.m

March – November          Saturday 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. (every Saturday)

December – February      Saturday 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. (second & last Saturday)

 

Note:  A 2016 Permit Sticker is required to enter the yard.  Permit Stickers may be purchased for $20 from the Department of Public Works during business hours.  Stickers are valid for one calendar year (January 1-December 31).
