March 30, 2017 – West Bend, WI – I have worked with Judge Martens his entire career starting as our Assistant District Attorney and being appointed Judge. There were several candidates for Judge when Todd Martens was appointed. The Governor knew then the promise that Todd had.
He has been a fair Judge and I have complimented him several times how he tells the defendants what the people would like to say to the defendants about the crimes they have committed. He listens to all arguments from the District Attorney, the Defense Attorney, and the person who is in front of him.
I have heard defendants themselves comment that the sentence they received was fair. Not all of them because each case is different. He has made a great impact in getting drunk drivers to court quickly to put on an absolute sobriety as part of their bail.
Before that there was nothing tell them they couldn’t have anything to drink and drive until months later. He has tried to get the drug dealers off the street that are selling drugs that are killing people in our community. There are way too many and it is all sorts of different ages.
I know you have all heard this from other people endorsing Judge Todd Martens but there are many out there that feel the same way, on both sides of the court tables. Vote Judge Todd Martens in again on Tuesday, April 4 so he can keep on doing his job.
