Local park and ride in Washington County reopens after serious upgrade | By Ruth Marks

July 31, 2017 – Slinger, WI – Most people know about the official long time Park and Ride Lots in Allenton, West Bend, and Germantown, as well as the newer one in Richfield.
But a previously less official looking, unlit gravel lot on Addison Road just north of Highway K had been used mostly by folks from the Big Cedar Lake and St. Lawrence areas, plus some from Allenton and Slinger.
This lot was closed June 5 and is now reopened. The lot has approximately doubled in size and features newly paved asphalt, lights and signage.
There are motorcycle and handicap spaces available.  The landscape grading and seeding has also been completed and We Energies expects to finish hooking up power to the lights by mid-August.

Brian DeNeve with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation SE Region indicated the cemented area by the park and ride has no planned use at this point. “
It’s there for future expansion of bus service, charter service, etc.,” he said.
Matt Wade and Tyler Trimberger of Arbor Green Inc. finished up the permanent signage installation at the newly upgraded Park and Ride on Addison Road on Thursday afternoon. Their company was contracted for grading, seeding and sign portion of the project.
The only remaining work is the installation of the ditch checks by another company.
