Obit: Ada Mae Baeckmann, 75

Ada Mae Baeckmann, 75, of Campbellsport passed away peacefully Tuesday December 22, 2015 at her home. She was born on March 1, 1940 in East Lansing, Michigan, the daughter of Francis and Velma (nee Bliss) Heaslip. On June 4, 1988, Ada married Roger W. Baeckmann at Peace Church in Kewaskum. Roger preceded her in death on March 31, 1999. She worked at Regalware for many years before retiring. Ada had a passion for life and was full of love including a great love of animals. She was especially skilled at nurturing and giving life back to animals.

 

Those left behind to cherish her memory include her six children Cheryl (Dean) Larson, Earl (Chris) Meyer, Jr, Anita Day, Michael (Linda) Meyer, Ken ( Kelly) Meyer and Dawn Meyer, 21 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, her mother Velma Haynes, four sisters Alice, Myrtle, Fran and Joanne, two brothers Floyd and Bill, five step children Rick (Bridget) Baeckmann, Mike Baeckmann, Bonnie Anderson, Laura (Jay) Wanek and Tonya Baeckmann, her best friend for over 50 years Sandy Stroh, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Along with her husband Roger, Ada was preceded in death her son Theodore, her father Francis, her brother John and her granddaughter Morgan

 

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday December 30 at 3:00 PM at Peace United Church of Christ, 343 1st St. Kewaskum, Chaplain Bob Lantz will officiate.  Burial will be at Union Cemetery in Campbellsport at a later date.

Visitation will be Wednesday Dec. 30th from 1:00 PM until time of service at the church. Memorials are appreciated to Heartland Hospice Memorial Fund or Animal Rescue.
