Obit: Allyne F. Rodenkirch, 84, of Kewaskum

Sept. 11, 2017 – Kewaskum, WI – Allyne F. Rodenkirch, 84, of Kewaskum, passed away on Friday, September 8, 2017.

She was born on April 4, 1933 to the late Eldon Sr. and Adeline (nee Melius) Ramthun in the Town of Scott. She grew up in Kewaskum and graduated from Kewaskum High School in 1951. On May 6, 1952, she was united in marriage to Thomas Rodenkirch at St. Michael’s Catholic Church.

Tom and Allyne were married for 60 years and raised six children. Allyne was a long-time member of Peace UCC Church and was a past president of the church consistory. She was very musical and sang for many weddings and funerals at church and also was the church choir and children’s choir director.

Allyne was a very hard worker, enjoying canning, working in the garden, and loved to read. Family was very important to her, and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Those Allyne leaves behind to cherish his memory include her six children, Gail (Dr. Richard) Sarnwick of Shawano, Kim (Fiancee Deborah VanGorder) Rodenkirch of the town of Auburn, Reed (Carla) Rodenkirch of Fond du Lac, Brad (Heidi) Rodenkirch, Blake Rodenkirch of the town of Auburn, and Lance (Michelle) Rodenkirch of Madison; eleven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; a sister, Joanne Hilbelink; two sisters-in-law, Ruth “Dolly” Ramthun and Nancy Rodenkirch: other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Rodenkirch; a brother, Eldon Ramthun.

A memorial service in remembrance of Allyne will be held on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Peace United Church of Christ, 343 First St., Kewaskum. Burial will follow at Peace UCC Cemetery.

The family will greet relatives and friends at the church Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of service
