Anna Mazzolari (nee Firetti) age 82 of Rubicon, Wisconsin passed away Saturday, October 29, 2016 in her home surrounded by her loving family.
Anna was born on September 17, 1934 in Cremona, Italy to Guido and Giusepina (nee Bonali) Firetti. She was united in marriage to Rosolino Mazzolari on June 14, 1958 in Italy. She worked at the Hartford Hospital for many years as a nurse’s assistant and also worked at the Stanga Cheese Factory in Rubicon. Anna loved to cook for her family (especially lasagna) and always made sure everyone was fed and taken care of. Her favorite past time was gardening, and she loved spending time with her family and friends, and visiting her youngest son Johnny in Madison.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 58 years, Rosolino “Lino” Mazzolari; loving sons, Cesare (Roxann) of Iron Ridge, Giorgio (Julie) of Fox Lake, Guido (Jacci) of Jackson, and John Mazzolari of Madison; 5 cherished grandchildren, Erica (Dan) Bartsch, Cody, Alia, Sophia, and Celia Ann Mazzolari; 1 cherished great grandchild, Rory Bartsch; 2 cherished step-grandchildren, Cody and Nathan Preder, and their family; dear siblings, Angelo (Dina) Firetti, Maria-Rosa (Guiseppi) Chiappa, Teresina (Luigi) Groppeli, and Bruno (Madelena) Firetti; and a dear brother-in-law, Giovanni (Ernistina) Mazzolari. Anna is further survived by many other loved relatives, friends, and extended family in Italy.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her parents-in-law, Cesare and Judita (nee Soregaroli) Mazzolari.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Anna will be held Friday, November 4, 2016 at 6:00p.m. at St. John’s Catholic Church (W1170 Rome Road Rubicon, WI 53078) with Fr. David LaPlante officiating. Family will greet relatives and friends at the church on Friday from 3:00p.m.-5:45p.m.
Interment in St. John’s Catholic Cemetery, Rubicon.
