Obit: Anne E. Hefter, 64

Anne E. Hefter (nee Ferguson and formerly Miller) “Annie” age 64 of Hartford, Wisconsin passed away on Tuesday, January 19, 2016 in her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on February 6, 1951 in Menominee, Michigan to John and Pierina (nee Buffolin) Ferguson.  She graduated Grafton High School in 1969 and spent two years at UW-Steven’s Point from 1971-1972. Anne was united in marriage to Clarence Miller on April 5, 1975.

She was remarried on April 14, 2007 to Robert Hefter.  She ran an in-home day care for 15 years. She also was an electrical-panel wirer and was proud of her efficiency. She worked for Kohl’s Department Store in Grafton for many years where she made many cherished friends. She will be remembered fondly of her love of her I-pad, country dancing, tending to her flowerbeds and vegetable garden, and spending time with her grandchildren.

Anne is survived by her beloved husband, Robert Hefter; loving mother, Pierina Ferguson; loving children, Rudolph (Jen Raley) Miller of Port Washington, WI, Jacob (Jocelyn) Miller of Bismarck, ND, Sarah (Tom) Risch of Cedar Grove, WI, and Rebecca Miller of Jackson, WI; step-children, Amy (Kevin) Delaney of Slinger, WI and Rebecca (Christian) Stilp of Louisville, KY, Jodi (Gary) Tow of Oklahoma City, OK, and Ted (Tanya) Miller of Oklahoma City, OK; cherished grandchildren, Greyson Boyung, Matthew Risch, Isaiah Risch, Jeremiah Risch, Keira Delaney and Audrey Stilp; dear siblings, John (Jan) Ferguson, Tony (Sue) Ferguson, Mary (Tom) Schubert, Kathryn Ferguson, Joanne (Don) Clauser, Rita (Jim) Richmond, and Bill (Kay) Ferguson. She is further survived by several loved nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her father, John Ferguson and an infant brother.

Mass of Christian Burial for Anne  will be held on Sunday, January 24, 2016 at 5:00 p.m. at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, (4886 Hwy 175, Hartford, WI 53027) with Fr. Davies Edassery officiating.  Family will greet relatives and friends at church on Sunday from 2:00-5:00 p.m.

Interment in St. Lawrence Catholic Cemetery, St. Lawrence, WI.

Memorial contributions received will be made to Breast Cancer Research and to the Down Syndrome Association, and are greatly appreciated.

Anne’s family would like to give a special thank you to Dr. Burfeind and Trisha, as well as to the staff at the Kraemer Cancer Center in West Bend, WI.
