Obit: Arnold G. “Arnie” Doman, 96, West Bend

Arnold G. Doman “Arnie” age 96 yrs. passed away Wednesday May 25, 2016 at Lawlis Family Hospice in Mequon. Arnold was born on March 10, 1920 in Granville, WI to Herman and Amanda (nee Schult).

On September 22, 1945 he married Lorraine E. Kasten at St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Port Washington and the couple lived in the town of Pewaukee where they farmed the family farm. In 1961 the couple moved to the town of Trenton where they continued to farm until 1985. Arnold retired from the Gehl Company. His hobbies included John Deere tractors, attending farm shows, polka music and dancing, gardening, traveling, woodworking, traveling, cutting wood in the winter and especially spending time with his family and friends.

Survivors include his children Glenn (Kathy), Ellen (Paul) Bingen and Debra (Bob) Way, grandchildren Matt (special friend Lisa) Domon, Heidi (Kent) Kilborne, Peter (Courtney) Doman, Kate Doman, Dane (Peggy) Bingen, Colin (special friend Brianna) Bingen, Luke (special friend Christina) Bingen, step grandson David (special friend Andrea) Cibulka, great grandchildren, Thane and Roxie Kilborne, Frank Bingen, Ruger Cibulka step great grandchildren Stella Conradson and Ezra Stiller, brother and sister in law Verland (Marilyn) Kasten and Arnold’s special friend Lucille Jacklin. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife Lorraine.

Funeral services will be held 1 pm Wednesday June 1, 2016 at Good Shepherd Ev. Lutheran Church (777 S. Indiana Ave West Bend) with Rev, Richard E. Lauersdorf officiating. Visitation will be at the church on Wednesday June 1 from 11am until time of service. Entombment will follow at Washington County Memorial Park.

Memorial to Horizon Lawlis Family Hospice or the American Heart Association are appreciated.

The family would like to thank the staff at Lawlis Family Hospice for all their loving care they gave to Arnold.
