March 16, 2018 – Celestine “Sally” I. Zingsheim, nee Peters, of the Town of Barton died on Thursday, March 15, 2018 at St. Joseph’s Hospital at the age of 90 years. She was born on April 6, 1927 in the Town of Polk to the late Frank and Clara (nee Ackerman) Peters.
In 1952, she began working at the West Bend Company, retiring after 37 years. She then worked part-time at the Clothes Clinic for about 10 years.
Over the years, she enjoyed keeping busy. She gardened, did sewing projects, watched the Packers and puzzle books.
She was a member of the 25 Year Club at the West Bend Company and St. Frances Cabrini Parish.
Survivors include her 5 children: Geraldine (Richard) Sabish of Campbellsport, Patricia (Gordon) Rosenthal of Town of Wayne, Katherine (Richard) Diels of Ladysmith, Joanne (Anthony) Bakes of Henderson, NV and William (Janet) Zingsheim of Town of Barton; 14 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law Shirley Peters of West Bend; nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 1 grandson Gerald and 9 brothers and sisters and their spouses: Alphonse (Erna), Marvin (Mildred), Evelyn (Victor) Brinkmann, Sylvester, Norbert, Jerome, Hillard (Mable), Walter (Mary) and Delores (Peter) Wenninger.
Memorial services will be held on Thursday, March 22 at 3 p.m. at the Schmidt Funeral Home in West Bend with Rev. Justin Lopina officiating. The family will greet relatives and friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 1 until 2:45 p.m.
The family requested memorials to St. Frances Cabrini Parish or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
