Craig M. Hansen, 60, of Fond du Lac passed away Thursday, May 12, 2016 in Ohio. He was born in West Bend on November 4, 1955, the son of Marvin and Waneta (Popham) Hansen. Craig married Bonnie J. Kraus on November 5, 1973 in West Bend. He served his country in the U.S. Army from 1975 until 1995. Craig served two tours in Germany and in Desert Storm and was a recipient of the Bronze Star. He then became a truck driver for Laufer Trucking in Hartford. He enjoyed woodworking, doing yard work and was an avid Packer fan. Craig was especially devoted to his family.
Survivors include his wife Bonnie, his children: Amy (Rick) Dreikosen of Campbellsport, Sharon (Joseph) Elsinger of Fond du Lac and Anthony Hansen of Miami, FL, 8 grandchildren: J.J., Adam, Austin, Ashley, Anthony, Zeus, Trinity and Joey, his brother Cory (special friend Linda Espinosa) Hansen of Beaver Dam, his sisters: Cheri Kahlhamer of North Fond du Lac, Cynthia Miller of Green Bay, Charlene (Richard) Buddenhagen of West Bend, Christine Hansen of Fond du Lac, and Candace Hansen of Campbellsport, many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. Craig was preceded in death by his parents and his sisters Jean and Joan.
Funeral services with be held on Friday, May 20 at 3:30 PM at the Rienzi Chapel, N6101 County Road K., Fond du Lac with Military Rites performed by the Trier Puddy American Legion Post #75. Craig’s cremains will be placed in a niche at Rienzi Cemetery, Fond du Lac. Visitation will be Friday, May 20 from 2:30 PM until time of services at the Rienzi Chapel.
