Obit: Daniel R. Roos, 59, Port Washington

Mr. Daniel R. Roos, of Port Washington, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, July 12, 2016. He was 59 years old. Dan was born March 4, 1957 in Port Washington, the son of Warren and Geraldine (nee Culver) Roos. For over 15 years, he worked as an assembler at Simplicity.

Dan was a member of First Reformed Church in Cedar Grove. He was a member of the Ozaukee County Historical Society where he served on the board. Dan was a giving person, who volunteered at Pioneer Village and for the Salvation Army as a bell ringer. He enjoyed cooking (especially his memorable Christmas candies), photography and above all, his family.

Dan is survived by his brother: Dennis (Kim) Roos of Saukville, David (Debbie) Roos of West Bend and Dale Roos of Port Washington and sister-in-law Jean Roos of Port Washington. He is further survived by step-siblings: Richard (Tammy), Maple, Sherry and Peggy (Daniel), nieces and nephews: Carey (Joe) Piatek, Nikki Roos, Tina Roos, Charles Roos, Mike Roos, Marie Van Treeck, John Thompson and Cory Laabs, dear cousin Christy Weber, great-nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held at 5 PM on Friday, July 22, 2016 at First Reformed Church, 237 S. Main Street in Cedar Grove. Pastor Al Schut will officiate. The family will receive visitors at the church on Friday from 4-5 PM

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested.
