Obit: David A. Bath, 63, of Mayville.

 

April 21, 2017 – Mayville, WI – David A. Bath, 63, of Mayville, found peace on Wednesday, April 19, 2017.

He was born on January 30, 1954 to the late Richard and Teresa (nee Illik) Bath in Mayville. He graduated from Mayville High School in 1972. On August 29, 1975, he was united in marriage to Annette “Nettie” Schnitzler at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Mayville.

 

Dave worked as brake operator at Mayville Metal Product for 40 years, retiring in 2012. After retirement Dave worked at Graceland cemetery. Motorcycling was his first love. Dave and Nettie enjoyed traveling, visiting all but 4 of the 50 states, Mexico and the Caribbean. Dave loved the ocean lying on the beach.

 

He enjoyed watching the Packers, Brewers and playing blackjack. Dave enjoyed his daily walks around town visiting with everyone, liked having social hour, and was the neighborhood handyman helping people. His biggest joy in his life was his daughter Kaytie and spending time with family and friends. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Those Dave leaves behind to cherish his memory include his loving wife and Best friend of 41 years, Nettie Bath; a daughter, Kaytie Bath; two brothers, Mike (Audrey) Bath and Robert “Bob” Bath; two sisters-in-law, Aimee (special friend Dan Muenchow) Kohn, and Arlene (Dennis) Karl; a special family friend, Debbie Willis; nieces, nephews; other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his brother, Chuck Bath; father and mother-in-law, Martin and Annie Schnitzler; a sister-in-law, Angie Thull; and a brother-in-law, Tom Kohn.

A memorial service in remembrance of Dave will be held on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at 3:30 p.m. at St Mary’s Catholic Church, 302 S. German St., Mayville.

The family will greet relatives and friends at the church on Tuesday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service.

The Myrhum Patten Miller & Kietzer Funeral Homes have been entrusted with Dave’s arrangements.
