Obit: Lois C. Jung (Weinreich), 84, of West Bend

 
May 27, 2018 – West Bend, WI – Lois C. Jung (Weinreich), 84, of West Bend found peace on May 25, 2018.Lois was born on October 27, 1933 in West Bend to Robert and Martha Weinreich (Klumb).   On October 22, 1955 she was united in marriage to Gerald “Jerry” W. Jung at St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church in West Bend.

Lois graduated from West Bend High School in 1951, where she played clarinet and was a member of the marching band.  After high school she started working for The West Bend Company and was employed there for over 30 years, occasionally taking time-off to raise her family.  She was a faithful parishioner of St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church. Lois was a member of St John’s Ladies Aide and participated in the Bell Choir.  Lois was also the Treasurer of the local Thrivent Financial branch.  She appreciated the outdoors and was a great drop-line fisherwoman.  Lois was an avid reader of many genres and was a devoted fan of Wisconsin sports.  You would frequently see her watching the Brewers, Packers or Wisconsin Badgers.  She occasionally enjoyed a Korbel ‘n Coke and in earlier years playing Sheepshead with the card club.

Those Lois leaves behind to cherish her memory include her husband, Jerry of 62 years;  4 children, Cheryl (Mark) Gottsacker, Mark (Charlene) Jung, Allen Jung, and Douglas (Shawn) Jung; 4 grandchildren, Jason (Christy) Gottsacker, Eric (Wendy) Gottsacker, Kimberly Gottsacker and Preston Jung; and a great-grandson, Austin Gottsacker. She is further survived by her sister, Diane (Robert) Mitchell as well as other relatives and friends.  Lois was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Martha Weinreich.

Funeral Service for Lois will be held at St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church (809 S 6th Ave., West Bend, WI 53095) 2:00 pm on Wednesday, May 30, 2018.

Lois’ family will greet relatives and friends at the Church on Wednesday from 12:00 Noon until the time of service.  Private burial will be on Thursday.

The family extends their heartfelt appreciation to the staff at Ivy Manor and Serenity Hospice for the care they provided.  Memorials to the Alzheimer’s Association would be appreciated.
