Obit: Edward C. Endlich Jr., 79, of West Bend

 

March 26, 2018 – West Bend, WI – Edward C. Endlich Jr., 79, passed away with family by his side on Friday, March 23, 2018 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in West Bend. He was born on October 1, 1938 to Edward C. Sr. and Viola L. (nee Klumb) Endlich and was raised in Richfield. On October 24, 1964, Ed married Marilyn S. Wiedmeyer at Holy Angels Catholic Church and began their family.

Ed worked at Gehl Company all his life, retiring in 2001. Ed was an avid gardener and loved growing zinnias. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, traveling with Marilyn, and going up north on weekends. Ed was always willing to help others or offer a conversation. He was the “Host with the Most” in his home. He loved country music and the Green Bay Packers. Ed was member of the Hexelbank Club at Gehl Company, a member of New Hope UCC Church, and enjoyed playing cards with his card club.

Ed is survived by his two sons, Dean (Julie) and Doug (Amy), his grandchildren, Kyle and Mackenzie, a sister Marion Endlich, sisters-in-law Joyce and Esther Endlich, in-laws Geri (Dave) Gajafsky, Lynette (Mark) Fochs, Freda Wiedmeyer, Steven (Theresa) Wiedmeyer, and Lee (Norma) Wiedmeyer, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Ed was preceded in death by his parents, wife Marilyn in 2011, in-laws Vincent and Marguerite Wiedmeyer, his brothers Floyd and Alfred Endlich, and brother-in-law Vincent Wiedmeyer.

 

A Funeral Service for Edward will be held at 6:30 pm on Wednesday, March 28 at New Hope UCC Church (4360 Jackson Dr. Jackson) with Rev. James Hill presiding. Visitation will be held at the church on Wednesday, March 28 from 4:00 pm until time of service at 6:30 pm, with Military Honors to follow. Private entombment will take place at Washington County Memorial Park. Memorials to New Hope UCC are appreciated.

The family would like to thank the ER staff at St Joseph’s Hospital, Ivy Manor of West Bend, Rev. James Hill, and all his neighbors who helped him throughout the years.
