Obit: Edward Habersetzer, 76

Edward “Ed” J. Habersetzer age 76 of St. Lawrence, Wisconsin passed away unexpectantly on Saturday, February 20, 2016 in his home.

Ed was born on December 17, 1939 to Nick A. and Loraine (nee Schaefer) Habersetzer. He was united in marriage to Virginia Schairer on July 27, 1963 at St Lawrence Catholic Church.

Ed was devoted to the church. He was the care taker for many years. He loved woodworking projects. He was a former member of the St. Lawrence Fire Department. He was a Boy Scout and Cub Scout leader for 6 years at St. Kilian.  He co-founded the St. Lawrence Saints Snowmobile Club. Ed was a retired tool and die maker.

Ed is survived by his beloved wife Virginia, his loving children; Michael (Jessica) of Hartford, Jeanne (Randy) Beisenstein of Oconomowoc, Cynthia (Mark Kasper) Menke of Missouri and Don (Doreen) Habersetzer of Brownsville, WI, 6 grandchildren; Jessica (Mike) Strean, Ashley Beisenstein, Gary Rosbeck, Derrick (Britnee) Rosbeck, Angie Beisenstein, Ryan Rosbeck, and Noah Loos, 4 great grandchildren; Tyler, Patrick, Haylee and Sean,  dear siblings;  Loraine (Art) Albers, Nick Habersetzer, Robert (Gerraine) Habersetzer and Marie Pauls, brothers and sisters-in-law; Marilyn Habersetzer, Ivan Schairer, Robert (Jeanne) Schairer, Marian (Richard) Kreif, Jacob Schairer, Julia (Gerhart) Zimdars, John (Kathy) Schairer Jr., Irma Schairer and Paul (Cheryl) Schairer.  He is further survived by several loved nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his parents-in-law John and Iremina Schairer, his brothers; Joseph, and Victor Habersetzer, sisters-in-law; Jean Schairer, Rose Schairer, Debbie Schairer, Joanne Schairer and Joanne Habersetzer, brother-in-law Bob Pauls and nephews; Bobby Pauls Jr. and Bobby Schairer Jr.

Mass of Christian Burial for Ed will be held on Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at 2:30 p.m. at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, (4886 Hwy 175, Hartford, WI 53027) with Fr. Davies Edassery officiating.  Family will greet relatives and friends at church on Wednesday from 12:00 noon until the 2:30 p.m. mass. Interment in St. Lawrence Catholic Cemetery, St. Lawrence, WI.
