Obit: Elaine A. Krug, 82, Campbellsport

Elaine A. Krug, 82, of Campbellsport went home to her Lord on Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac. She was born on Sept. 25, 1933 in Fond du Lac, the daughter of Clarence and Gladys (Ours) Marx. On October 19, 1957, Elaine married John R. Krug at St. Matthews Church in Campbellsport. After their marriage, they farmed in the Town of Eden and then in 1968 they purchased a farm near Wayne and farmed there until the fall of 1995.

Elaine worked for Northwest Mutual Insurance for a short time and then for 37 years for the Department of Natural Resources at Kettle Moraine State Park. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Campbellsport and she enjoyed knitting, needlepoint and reading.

Survivors include her son Bill of Kewaskum, her sisters Joan Chittum of Wausau, Charlene Phillips of Fond du Lac, Mary (Leander) Herriges of Wayne, Geraldine (Raymond) Bodden of Kewaskum and Patricia Marx of Manitowoc, her brother Clarence (Barb) Marx of Fond du Lac, her sister-in-law Florence Riedel of Fond du Lac, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Elaine was preceded in death by her parents, her husband John on March 1, 2016, her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Jim Chittum, Loren Phillips, Mildred and Clarence Vogt, Marcella and Leroy Bechler, Oral Krug and Ed Riedel.

Funeral services will be held on Friday July 22nd at 6:00 PM at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 350 S. Helena St. Campbellsport. Rev. Paul Cerny will officiate and entombment will be at 10:00 AM Saturday July 23rd at Ledgeview Memorial Park in Fond du Lac.

Visitation will be Friday July 22nd from 3:00 PM until time of services at Immanuel Lutheran Church. Memorials are appreciated to Immanuel Lutheran Church.
