Obit: Evelyn A. Knepprath, 78, of Boltonville

Dec. 26, 2017 – Boltonville, WI – Evelyn A. Knepprath, 78, of Boltonville, entered eternal life where she was reunited with her husband Alfred on Sunday, Dec. 24, 2017, at Aurora Medical Center in Grafton surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on June 6, 1939, the daughter of the late Lawrence and Lucille (nee Krell) Staehler and on January 26, 1957, Evelyn was united in marriage to Alfred J. Knepprath at St. Michael Catholic Church.  Alfred preceded Evelyn in death on May 25, 2000.

Evelyn worked at Regal Ware and retired from Shopko after 26 years in retail.  She was a long time member of St. Michael Catholic Church and the Boltonville Sportsman’s Club.  Evelyn’s greatest joys came from spending time with her family.  She enjoyed their frequent visits, getting to watch her grandson race in Plymouth, and being an important part of BK Nation.   In her free time Evelyn liked to watch NASCAR and the Milwaukee Brewers.

Those Evelyn leaves behind to cherish her memory include five children, Glenn (Lori Blank) Knepprath of Kewaskum, Sandra (Wade) Myers of the town of Farmington, Daryl (Helene Kukuk) Knepprath of Kewaskum, Judy (Dwight) Helsell of Campbellsport, and Allyn Knepprath of Kewaskum; eight grandchildren, Scott (fiancé Crystal King) Braun, Sarah (Michael) Otten, Melissa (Jeremy) Wilson, Brittni Knepprath, Brandon (Deanna Frederick) Knepprath, Tony (fiancé Rachel) Helsell, Adam (Krystal) Helsell, and Kristin Immel; 13 great-grandchildren, Kierra, Alessandra, Angelina, William, Ethan, Destiny, Gabriel, Casey, Cylee, Wyatt, Noah, Mackenzie and Libbie; a brother, Ronald (Cheri) Staehler of Eden; two sisters, Jeannette (Preston) Pierce of Onalaska, and Rosemarie Dean of Fox Lake; a sister-in-law, Lucille Knepprath of Saukville; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

 

In addition to her husband and parents, Evelyn was preceded in death by a sister, Arlene (Ray) Herriges; a son-in-law, William Braun; a sister-in-law, Virginia (Wolf) Buettner, and three brothers-in-law, Lloyd Dean, Willard Knepprath and Robert Knepprath.

A private family service for Evelyn will be held on Tuesday, January 2, 2018, at the Myrhum Patten Miller & Kietzer Funeral Home, 215 Forest Ave, in Kewaskum.  Rev. Edwin Kornath will officiate and burial will follow at St. John of God Cemetery.

The Knepprath family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to the staff at Aurora Medical Center in Grafton especially nurse Liz.
