Evelyn H. Williams (nee Badtke) of Wayne, age 92, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 30, 2016 surrounded by her family. She was born on June 14, 1923 in Oconomowoc, WI to Arthur and Carolyn (nee Frank) Badtke. She married Charles Williams on August 15, 1943 in Oconomowoc. They farmed their entire lives and settled in the town of Wayne for over 60 years. Evelyn enjoyed sewing and quilting for her family and donated hundreds of quilts all over. She was a devoted member to Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church and strong in her faith.
Evelyn is survived by her children Richard, David, Cheryl Ramthun, Charles, Debra, Larry (Rosie), Karen, Beverly (Andy) Junk; 15 grandchildren Ben and Caitlyn Williams, Jesse Williams, Eric Ramthun, Tracy Fix-Buckley, Christopher Prinz, Mike and Matt Hefter, Shelly Lang, Sarah Persha, Rachel Falle, Garriet Winter, Kim Schnabel, Lisa Garcia and Jamie Rabuck; 21 great-grandchildren; 3 sisters Phyllis Scheffel, Darlene Gates, Edith Peters and sisters-in-law Joyce Nemath, Elaine Jaeger, Tomoko Badtke. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Evelyn is preceded in death by her husband Charles, great-grandson Sean Schenck, brother Cyril Badtke, brothers-in-law Bill Jaeger, Alex Nemath, Orlin Williams, George Peters, Raymond Williams and Don Scheffel.
A Funeral Service will be at 12:00PM on Thursday, May 5, 2016 at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church (6430 Hwy D, Allenton, WI 53002) with Pastor Steven Bode presiding. Visitation will be at the church from 10:00AM until the time of the service. Interment will follow at 2:45PM at Washington County Memorial Park.
