Obit: Gertrude M. Disler (nee Boden), 93, of West Bend. Gertrude worked 44 years at Amity Leather.

March 1, 2017 – West Bend, WI – Gertrude M. Disler (nee Boden) age 93 of West Bend died Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at the Kathy Hospice. She was born April 27, 1923 in Nabob to Peter and Coralena (nee Peters) Boden.

Gertrude was raised in Nabob and at the age of 18 started working at Amity Leather, retiring after 44 years of employment.

On May 22, 1946 she was united in marriage to Jacob S. Disler at St. Mathias Church in Nabob. Following their marriage they lived in St. Lawrence for a few years before settling in West Bend. Jacob preceded her in death on September 23, 1981.

Gertrude was a member of the West Bend Chapter 732 Women Of The Moose and Post 483 American Legion Auxiliary.

Gertrude is survived by her 6 children: Phyllis Odermann of Marshfield, Tootie (Dennis) Hall of West Bend, Harold (Dianne) Disler of Mercer, Elaine Krause of Fredonia, Donald (Jane) Disler of St. Michaels and Diane Hill of Port Washington, 13 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She is further survived by 2 sisters: Pat Hart and Audrey Rosbeck, 3 sisters-in-law: Marcella Boden, Ruth Boden and Lorraine Boden and nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband Jacob, her parents Peter and Coralena Boden, and her siblings: Ralph Boden, Leroy Boden, Kenneth Boden, Raymond Boden, Daniel (Patricia) Boden, Marilyn (Alex) Reinders and Kathleen (Fritz) Wagner and 2 brothers-in-law: William Hart and Robert Rosbeck.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday, March 6, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church in West Bend with Rev. Nathan Reesman presiding. The burial be held Tuesday in Holy Angels Cemetery. The family will greet relatives and friends on Monday, at the church only from 4:00 p.m. until 5:45 p.m.

We would like to extend a special Thank You to the nurses and staff at St. Joseph’s Hospital, The Kathy Hospice and Dr. Rossi for their kind and compassionate care of our mother.
