Gregg H. Wereley, age 57 of Hartford, Wisconsin passed away on Saturday, December 19, 2015.

Gregg was born on April 2, 1958 in New Berlin, WI to Eugene and Pauline (nee Kepner) Wereley. He was united in marriage Marlene Soczek on May 25, 1991 in Milwaukee, WI.

Gregg served 2 years in the United States Navy Reserves. He was a longtime coach for the Hartford Recreation, Monches Recreation department, Hartford youth football, basketball, and baseball clubs. Gregg was a naturally talented athlete who exceled in every sport he was participating in whether it was baseball, football, basketball, darts or ping pong. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, running, weightlifting, golfing, playing drums, boating, skiing at Little Switzerland, watching the Green Bay Packers, and being outdoors.

Gregg is survived by his beloved wife Marlene of 24 years; loving children, Michael and Alex; dear brothers and sisters; Glenn (Betty), Gary (Cathy), and Janine (Kevin) Putzer. Brothers and sisters in-law Mark Soczek, andMichael (Lara) Soczek.  His Mother in-law Dorothy Soczek (Special friend Mike Maciag). Nieces and nephews Brian, Jessica (Kyle), Ashley, Rebecca, Becky, Adam, Michaela and Nicholas.  His furry family members Spunky, Cheddar, Oliver, Peanut, Boots, and goldfish Goldie.  He is further survived by other dear relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his Mother and Father.

Funeral services for Gregg will be held on Saturday, December 26, 2015 at 4:00p.m. at the Shimon Funeral Home (824 Union Street Hartford, WI 53027.) Family will greet relatives and friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 12:00-4:00 p.m.

Memorials to the American Heart Association, Hartford Youth Football Club, and Hartford Recreation Baseball are appreciated.
