Obit: Irma I. Reindl, 95, of Kewaskum

Dec. 21, 2017 – Kewaskum, WI – Irma I. Reindl, 95, of Kewaskum, entered eternal life on Sunday, December 17, 2017, at Kettle Moraine Gardens in Kewaskum.

Irma was born on February 20, 1922, in Hancock, the daughter of the late Dana and Blanche (nee Davis) Monroe and on June 7, 1947, she was united in marriage to Roger Reindl in Wautoma.  Roger preceded Irma in death on March 30, 2010.

Irma was a teacher for many years at Holy Trinity Catholic Grade School in Kewaskum.  She also taught in one room school houses and at St. Matthews Catholic Grade School in Campbellsport.

Irma was a Girl Scout Leader and a member of the Legion Auxiliary and Christian Women of Holy Trinity.  She also was a minister of communion, belonged to many bible studies, and enjoyed being part of “study club”.   In her free time Irma liked playing games, dancing, gardening, word searches, and frying Roger’s fish.

Those Irma leaves behind to cherish her memory include four children, Jeanne (Larry) Coulter of Ridgway, CO, Marilyn (Karl) Brath of Dundee, Mark (Kay) Reindl of Lodi, CA and Janet (Kevin) Kohlwey of Kewaskum; 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren, with one on the way; 5 step-great-grandchildren; a brother Gordon (Joanne) Monroe; three sisters-in-law, Violet, Caroline, and Frances Monroe, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to her husband and parents, Irma was preceded in death by a daughter, Donna Mae; a sister, Florine (Dick) Leach; three brothers, Kenneth, Douglas, and Norman Monroe; five brothers-in-law, Prosper Reindl, Gilbert (Anna) Reindl, Allen (Louisanna “Sally”) Reindl, Donald Nigbor, and Norbert Becker, and two sisters-in-law, Linda (Lester) Casper and Bernetta (Jacob) Bruessel.

A funeral service for Irma will be held at Noon on Thursday, December 21, 2017, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 331 Main St. in Kewaskum.  Rev. Edwin Kornath will officiate and burial will follow in the parish cemetery.

The Reindl family will greet relatives and friends at the church on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to Holy Trinity Catholic Grade School are appreciated.

The Reindl family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to Kettle Moraine Gardens and Serenity Hospice for the wonderful care provided to their mother.

The Myrhum Patten Miller & Kietzer Funeral Homes have been entrusted with Irma’s arrangements.
