Obit: Josephine “Jo” E. Roell, 91, West Bend

Josephine “Jo” E. Roell (nee Belunes), 91, passed away on Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at The Kathy Hospice of West Bend.  She was born on September 26, 1924 in Germantown and was raised in West Bend.  She attended North Trenton Grade School in the Town of Trenton.  She worked at the West Bend Canning Company, West Bend Woolen Mills, West Bend Company, Expertize and Stitch in Time.

Jo married Alvin “Sonny” Roell on May 20, 1944 at Immanuel Church of Christ in West Bend and after marriage, settled in West Bend where they raised their family.  She was an avid gardener, baker and loved to crochet, fishing and picking strawberries and raspberries.

She is survived by her children, Bruce (Sharon) Roell, Dwight “Ike” (Anne) Roell, Duwayne “Willie” (Marilyn) Roell, Kelly Jo (Kevin) Belger; nine grandchildren, Pam (Todd) Gnacinski, Ryan (Kimberly), Jennifer (Steve) Rindt, Dwight “Ike” Jr., Dean (Naomi), Candy Jo (Rich) Prost, Travis (Carrie), Kristen Jo (Jonathon) Thull, Keith Belger; great-grandchildren Ava, Oliver, Grayson, Preston, Sunshine Prost, Willow Prost, Parker, Archer and Jenna Jo Thull; sister Alvina Dailey; and brother Eugene Belunes.  She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband and four siblings.

The Funeral Service will be at 5:00 PM on Friday, May 20, 2016 at Phillip Funeral Home Chapel (1420 W. Paradise Dr., West Bend, WI 53095) with Rev. Rich Vincent presiding. The Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday, May 20, 2016 from 3:00 PM until the time of the service at 5:00 PM.  Memorials are appreciated to the Kathy Hospice (3232 Pleasant Valley Dr., West Bend, WI 59095).
