Obit: Linda S. Sponholz (nee Hoelz), 97,

August 26, 2018 – Germantown, WI – Linda S. Sponholz (nee Hoelz) passed away Saturday August 25, 2018 the age of 97 years. She was born on January 17, 1921 in Germantown to Walter and Ella (nee Hornig) Hoelz and was raised in Rockfield. On November 22, 1945 Linda married William C. Sponholz at Our Savior’s Church in Germantown and began her family.
Linda’s passions were gardening, bowling, cross stitching, but she especially loved to spend time with her family. She was a lifelong member of the Methodist Faith.

Linda is survived by her two daughters Kay (Robert) Stater and Jane (Everett) Powell, her grandchildren; Scott (Katrina) Powell, Jennifer Lehman, Matthew (Pamela) Stater, Andrea (Tony) Hennes, great-grandchildren; Allison, Katlin and Isabel Lehman, Billy Powell, Victoria and Cayden Stater, Jaxson, Elly, Zenna and Izak Stater, nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband William, 2 brothers, 1 sister, 11 brothers and sisters-in-laws, and her granddaughter Carey Ann Stater.

Funeral Services for Linda will be held at 1:30pm on Wednesday, August 29 at Fifth Ave Methodist Church (323 S. Fifth Ave. West Bend) with Pastor Clarissa Martinelli presiding. Visitation will be at the church on Wednesday August 29 from noon until time of service at 1:30pm. Private interment will be at Cedar Park Cemetery in Richfield.

The family would like to thank Dr. Robert Gibson, Dr. Jeff Young and the nurses and staff of Cedar Bay East for all the care they gave to Linda.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to Fifth Avenue Methodist Church are appreciated.
