Obit: Mary Ann (nee Koenings) Loos, 79, of Kewaskum. Mary Ann and her husband owned and operated Dick and Mary Ann’s Bar in St. Michaels.

 

Jan. 27, 2017 -Kewaskum, WI – Mary Ann (nee Koenings) Loos, 79, of Kewaskum, passed away at Cedar Community in West Bend on Tuesday, January 24, 2017.

 
She was born on September 1, 1937, in West Bend, the daughter of the late Anthony and Matilda (nee Bahr) Koenings, and on June 20, 1980, she was united in marriage to Richard Loos at St. Michaels Catholic Church in St. Michaels. Richard preceded Mary Ann in death on May 25, 2012.

 
After graduating high school Mary Ann worked at Amity leather in West Bend for a number of years before entering the tavern business.  Mary Ann and Richard owned and operated Dick and Mary Ann’s Bar in St. Michaels for 11 years.   Mary will fondly be remember for her love of the Green Bay Packers and NASCAR.

 

 

Those Mary Ann leaves behind to cherish her memory include a brother, Thomas (Patsy) Koenings of Wautoma; a sister, Fran (Wayne) Stoffel of West Bend; three step-children, Donna Miracle of Waukau and Shelly Dickson and Edward Loos both of Red Granite; a sister-in-law, Jean Suprise of Shiocton, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mary Ann was preceded in death by a son, Richard W. Loos “JR”; a brother-in-law, Richard “Dick” Suprise and her parents-in-law Bernice and Roy Smith.
A Memorial Mass for Mary Ann will be held at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, January 31, 2017, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 331 Main St. in Kewaskum. Rev. Edwin Kornath will officiate and burial of cremated remains will be in St. Michael’s Catholic Church Cemetery at a later date.

 

The family will greet relatives and friends at the church on Tuesday from 3 p.m. until the time of mass.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Mary Ann’s memory to Holy Trinity Catholic Church and School are appreciated.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to Dr. Sammis, Cedar Lake Health and Rehab and Cedar Hospice for the wonderful care they provided to Mary Ann.  A special thank you to the caring neighbors in Mary Ann’s apartment building and the Washington County Community Aids for all their loving care.
