Noel was born on February 14, 1936, in Oconto Falls, Wisconsin, the son of the late Leonard Hansen and the late Rose (nee Rush) Hansen. He attended Kingsford High School, in Kingsford, Michigan, and graduated in 1954. Shortly after graduation, Noel served his country in the United States Marines for 3 years. Noel was united in marriage to Carol Greenwood on November 25, 1961, in Milwaukee. Their marriage was blessed with four children, Gail, Deb, mark and Jason.
Noel was employed by Wisconsin Bell/AT&T working as a system technician. After 35 years of faithful dedication to his employer, Noel retired in July of 1994. He quickly was able to work on various woodworking projects, as well as take time to relax and fish. Noel was also a member of the Feith Family Y.M.C.A. in Saukville, where he attended daily.
Noel is survived by his children: Gail Doerflinger, Deb (Dave) Jackson, Mark Hansen, and Jason (Sarah Terry) Hansen; and grandchildren, Carren (Steve) Gratz, Michelle Jackson, and Matthew Jackson. He is further survived by his special friend, Luanne Boyle, 3 sisters, 1 brother, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Noel was preceded in death by his wife, Carol Hansen and 1 brother.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Wednesday, July 20, 2016, 1PM at St. Joseph Catholic Church (1619 Washington St.), in Grafton. The family will receive friends and relatives on Wednesday, at the church, 11AM until 12:45PM. Father Mike Barrett will officiate the Memorial Mass. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Family Sharing, in Grafton, are appreciated.
