Obit: Patricia M. Coulter, 77, of Kewaskum. Patty was a crossing guard on the corner of North and Fond du Lac Ave for over 30 years

Feb. 7, 2017 – Kewaskum, WI – “Patty Coulter died. She donated her body to science.” That’s the way she wanted to say it, but since she did so many things for others, her family wanted to tell her story.

 

Patricia M. Coulter, 77, of Kewaskum, passed away on Sunday, February 5, 2017, at Kettle Moraine Gardens in Kewaskum.

 

Patty was born on August 15, 1939, the daughter of the late Elroy and Mary (McCarty) Hron in Campbellsport. On January 31, 1959, she was united in marriage to John Coulter at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Kewaskum.

 

Patty was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church her entire life, which was very important to her. She was employed as a crossing guard on the corner of North and Fond du Lac Ave for over 30 years. Along with caring for her grandchildren, Patty also enjoyed tutoring at Holy Trinity Catholic School. Her favorite past time was cooking elaborate meals for her family. Patty had a passion for swimming and often went to the YMCA swimming pool.

 

Those Patty leaves behind to cherish her memory include her husband, John; three daughters, Jacky (Mark) Herriges of Kewaskum, Jenny Marchewka of Germantown, Kelley (Tim) Peterson of Boltonville; 11 grandchildren, Dr. Margaret (Andrew) Lijewski, Alexander (Jessica) Herriges, Michael Herriges, and Joseph Herriges, Ben, Danny, and Sam Marchewka, Jacob Peterson, Joshua (Paige) Peterson, and Jo-Ana Peterson, and Jonathan Swords; three great grandchildren, Bram and Audra Herriges and Gwen Peterson, with three more on the way; a son-in-law, Jeff Hesch; three brothers, John, Keith, and Brian Hron; three sisters, Julianne (Dennis) Luedtke, Deborah (Tom) Begun, and Penelope (Jim) Martz; brothers-in-law, John Bauer, John Haug, Myron Lamers, Rich Kallmann, Jim Ruecker and Neil Coulter; sisters-in-law, Bette Quandt and Paulette Coulter; other relatives and friends.

 

In addition to her parents, Patty was preceded in death by a daughter, Tracy Hesch; a brother, Kevin Hron; two sisters, Mary Jane Bauer and Kathleen Haug; brothers-in-law, Edgar Zeitler, Edward Quandt, Keith Coulter and Glen Coulter; sisters-in-law, Marguerite Lamers, Sandra Ruecker, Enida (Dave) Roth, and Gwen Kallmann.

 

A Memorial Mass for Patty will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 9, 2017, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Kewaskum with Rev. Edwin Kornath officiating.

 

The family will greet relatives and friends at the church on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of Mass.

 

Memorials to the Holy Trinity School Library or to Holy Trinity School are appreciated.

 

The Myrhum Patten Miller and Kietzer Funeral Homes have been entrusted with Patty’s arrangements.
