Paul Louis “Powder Horn” Lefebvre was called home to be with his Lord on Sunday, October 16, 2016 at the age of 83.
Paul was born on March 7, 1933 in Possaic, New Jersey to the late Louis and Marion (nee Nowash) Lefebvre. As a young man, he served his country honorably in the United States Army and later became a telephone cable splicer for Century Tel. Over the years, his hard work ethic and fearless sense of adventure lead him to live in various parts of the country from New Jersey to Tennessee to Kentucky and Florida before finally settling in Wisconsin.
Paul was a true outdoors man. He loved to hunt and enjoyed teaching hunter safety courses. His passion for fishing and scuba diving lead him to Captain a fishing boat charter. He loved both downhill and cross country skiing and served as a ski patrol for many years. He loved attending Rodeos and raising animals on his hobby farm. He also invested in his local youth by being both a Boy Scout leader and a 4-H leader.
Those Paul leaves behind to cherish his memory include his three children, Debbie (Bruce) Dunford of Sugar Grove, IL, Jacqui (Steve) Allen of Troy, MI, and Glenn Lefebvre of Rhinelander; seven grandchildren, Scott (Tara) Dunford of Harrisburg, PA, Mike (Lorianne) Dunford of Aurora, IL, Matthew (Diep) Allen of Vietnam, Stephanie (David) Crabb of Minneapolis, MN, Katie (Dr. Matt) Chetta of Troy, MI, Kimberly Allen of Troy, MI, and Breeann Lefebvre of Travers City, MI; 12 great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
In honor of Paul’s wishes, a private family service is being planned for a later date.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Carson family and the Guardian House for the kindness and love that they gave Paul while he lived there.
Myrhum Patten Miller & Kietzer Funeral Homes have been entrusted with Paul’s arrangements.
