Obit: Richard “Dick” Ehnert, 75, Campbellsport

Richard “Dick” Franklin Ehnert, 75, of Campbellsport, WI, passed away on Sunday, July 3, 2016, at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Dick was born August 11, 1940, in New Fane, WI, to the late Lester and Esther (Rosenthal) Ehnert.  He graduated from Kewaskum High School in 1958 and on September 5, 1959 he married Joan Heider in Dundee, WI.  Dick retired from Regal Ware Inc. after 42 years and held various positions most recently working in the maintenance department.  He served as trustee and elder at St. John Lutheran Church where he was a lifelong member. Dick enjoyed playing dartball on the church league, gardening, dancing, polka music, spending time with family and spending winters in Mesa, AZ.

Dick is survived by his wife of 57 years, Joan; a daughter, Heide (Tom) Bartnett of Darien, IL; three sisters, Barbara (Homer) Justman, Cheryl Beall and Pam (Dennis) Jacak; a sister-in-law Lynda Heider, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents Dick was preceded in death by his sons Barry and Michael Ehnert and two brothers- in-law Harry Beall and Alan Heider.

A Funeral Service for Dick will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 6, 2016, at St. John Lutheran Church in New Fane.  Rev. Mark Eckert will officiate and burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The Ehnert family will greet relatives and friends at the church on Wednesday from Noon until the time of services.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to St John Lutheran Church or a charity of one’s choice are appreciated.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Pastor Eckert, Dr. Burfeind and staff at Kramer Cancer Center, Horizon Home Care, Heartland Hospice and Miller Funeral Home.
