Obit: Richard J. Schulteis, 76, of Germantown

 

Sept. 20, 2018 – Richfield, WI – Richard J. Schulteis, 76, of Germantown, found peace on Monday, Sept. 17, 2018.

He was born on March 1, 1942 to the late Allen and Cornelia (nee Baertlein) Schulteis in Milwaukee, WI. Richard graduated from Germantown High School in 1960. On Sept 9, 1961 he was united in marriage to Sharon Greve at St. Boniface Church in Germantown.

Richard worked as a truck driver his entire life. He worked for Schaetzel Oil, Jacobus Quickflash Fuel, and E.H. Wolf & Sons until he retired. He loved feeding the birds, woodworking, and taking care of his yard. The most important thing to him was his family. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Those Richard leaves behind to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 57 years, Sharon; four children, Wendy (Rick Storck) Schulteis, Kelly (Dean) DeLaura, Jennifer (Todd) Suelflow, and Courtney (Andrew) Benson; nine grandchildren, Bradley (Jackie) Fessenbecker, Stephanie (Sam) Kueschner, Sydney DeLaura, Dominic DeLaura, Alexander Suelflow, Morgan Suelflow, Isaac Benson, Trevor Benson, and Faith Benson; one step-granddaughter, Lauren Storck; three great-grandchildren, Wesley Richard Fessenbecker, Lucas Warren Fessenbecker, and Elenora Mae Kuerschner; one sister, Elise Schulteis; other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, father-in-law and mother-in-law, Henry and Bernice Greve, and sister-in-law, Betty Greve.

A funeral service in remembrance of Richard will be held Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Northbrook Church in Richfield.

The family will greet relatives and friends at the church from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.

The Myrhum Patten Miller and Kietzer Funeral Homes have been entrusted with Richard’s arrangements.
