Obit: Robert P. “Bob” Rauen, 86, of West Bend

June 23, 2017 – West Bend, WI – Robert P. “Bob” Rauen, 86, of West Bend, entered eternal life on Wednesday, June 21, 2017, at St. Joseph Hospital in the town of Polk.

He was born on March 9, 1931, in West Bend, Wisconsin, the son of the late Ben and Clara (nee Wornardt) Rauen and on October 11, 1953, was united in marriage to Betty A. Weiland at Trinity Lutheran Church in West Bend.

Bob worked for West Bend Company as an engineer for over 30 years.  Later in life he started selling pool tables and golf clubs part time and eventually opened his own store called Rauen Pro Shop.

Bob was an avid golfer, bowler, and pool player and belonged to many leagues over the years and enjoyed competing with friends, but most importantly, a lifelong and active member of St. John’s Lutheran Church. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather that enjoyed spending time with his family.  Bob will be greatly missed by all those who knew him.

Those Bob leaves behind to cherish his memory include his beloved wife of 63 years, Betty; five children, Steven Rauen of Port Orchard, WA, Alan Rauen of Portland, OR, John (Robin) Rauen of Brea, CA, Susan (Eric) Bush of Rancho Santa Fe, CA, and Andrew Rauen; three grandchildren, Lauren Rauen of Brea, CA, and Jackson and Campbell Bush of Rancho Santa Fe, CA, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by a brother Jim Rauen; a sister, Evelynne (William) Russell and his parents-in-law, Bill and Esther Weiland.

A Funeral Service for Bob will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, June 28, 2017, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 809 S 6th Ave., in West Bend with Rev. Jeff Hesse officiating and burial to follow at Washington County Memorial Park.

The Rauen family will greet relatives and friends at the church on Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.

The Myrhum Patten Miller & Kietzer Funeral Homes have been entrusted with Bob’s arrangements.
