Obit: Roland J. La Fave, 86, Grafton

Roland James LaFave, 86, of Grafton, Wisconsin, formerly of Milwaukee, WI died peacefully in his sleep surrounded by family on August 22, 2016, at Rosewood Manor in Grafton, WI. Roland was born November 20, 1929 and grew up in Two Rivers, WI. He graduated from Washington High School in 1947. He moved to Milwaukee in 1957 with his wife and family. He had a quirky since of humor that will definitely be missed. His favorite past time was going to the casino.

He worked for 38 years at the LadishCompany in Cudahy, WI. Rollie was also very involved with the Journey House Community Center in Milwaukee and the Juvenile Justice Committee Milwaukee for many years.

He is predeceased in death by his beloved wife of 57 years Rose (Myer) LaFave. His parents, Arthur and Irene (Wachtel) LaFave and his sister Louann Wojta. His birth Mother Eva (LaFave) Becker and his birth siblings Anna Mae (LaFave)Struck and Leo Powless.

Survivors include his children, Richard (Paula) LaFave of Waukesha, WI., Randall (Lillian) LaFave of San Antonio, TX, Roger (Pamela) LaFave of Colgate, WI, Rochelle (Robb) Renzaglia of Slinger, WI, Renee (Christopher) Semmens of Surprise, AZ. His grandchildren: Elaine, Bryan, Will, Douglas, Nicholas, Kathryn, Anthony, and Emmy. ­­­7 Great grandchildren, 12 step grandchildren, 23 step great grandchildren. Many nieces and nephews, sister-in-law’s, friends and other family.

Family will greet relatives and friends at the Hampton Inn Grafton, WI in the conference room on Saturday August 27th from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at 3:00p.m.

Eernisse Funeral Home in Cedarburg, WI is assisting family with cremation services.

The family is grateful to the staff at Rosewood Manor for all their care and support over the past 15 months.
