Nov. 21, 2016 – Slinger, WI – Ryan Hackbarth age 31, went home to his Savior on Thursday, November 17, 2016 surrounded by his wife and loving family. Ryan was born on March 11, 1985 to parents Tom and Teri Hackbarth. He was a 2003 graduate of Hartford Union High School. For thirteen years, he worked as a plant operator at Halquist Stone, a job he loved. Ryan was united in marriage to Noni Plato on September 1, 2007. It was a fairy-tale wedding, the happiest day of Ryan and Noni’s lives.

Ryan and Noni found their perfect home in Slinger, Wisconsin, where they lived with their two kitties, Skittles and Star. They enjoyed taking long walks in the town they grew to love. They often went bowling at Kettle Moraine Bowl and even if the scoreboard didn’t always show high numbers, they had so much fun, it didn’t matter. The Slinger House was a favorite spot to stop in and enjoy a drink, or two, or three, lol. They had a special relationship with the butcher at the local Piggly Wiggly, who would hook them up with the best bourbon-marinated salmon for their weekly date-nights.

Competitive Ryan loved sports of all kinds. He not only enjoyed watching most sports on TV, but he could play (and excel) at any sport he tried. He was naturally gifted at sports. Packer season was his favorite time of year. A close second favorite passion of Ryan’s was comic books and super-hero movies. He was our expert on all Marvel and DC trivia. Though Thor was his self-proclaimed alter-ego, we all thought of him as our Superman. Even when the days got darker with his cancer diagnosis, he kept a strong heart, positive attitude, and his wise-cracking sense of humor never failed.

Ryan is survived by his wife Noni Hackbarth; his parents; siblings, Aaron (Cari) Hackbarth, Aimee (Jon) Rehn and Rachael Hackbarth; parents-in-law, Heidi and Mark Plato; sister-in-law, Nichole (Marcus) Krasovich. He is also survived by a nephew (Austin), nieces (Josie, Kamryn, Rylie, Hannah, and Alayna), and other relatives and friends.

Funeral Service for Ryan will be held on Tuesday, November 22 at 11 AM at Faith Lutheran Church, W244 N6383 Weaver Dr., Sussex with Rev. Bruce Marggraf presiding. Private burial to follow at Union Cemetery, Slinger. A time of visitation and support for family and friends will be held on Monday, November 21 from 4 PM – 7 PM at Shimon Funeral Home, 824 Union St., Hartford.

Ryan will be forever with us. Every family celebration, every sunrise and sunset, every moment of every day, he will be in our hearts and in our memory. Thank you Ryan for being our super-hero. Thank you for being the best husband, son, son-in-law, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, Godfather, and friend we have ever known. The sun will never shine as bright without you, but we will see you again, my Love.
